Zydus acquires UK’s LiqMeds Grp for 68m

Ahmedabad: Homegrown pharma major Zydus Lifesciences Limited on Tuesday announced it has acquired UK-based LiqMeds Group of companies. The acquisition has been made through Zydus’ wholly-owned subsidiary, Zydus Pharmaceuticals UK Limited, the company said in its stock exchange filing. LiqMeds has capabilities and specialization in development, manufacturing and supply of oral liquid products for global markets, which it currently commercializes through its partners.

The group’s subsidiary LM Manufacturing Limited (LMML), has an oral liquids manufacturing site at Weedon, Northampton, UK, which supplies products to the US and UK markets.
