Fake Pharma Factory Busted In Dehradun

One of the accused was a supervisor in a pharma company, the other used to do marketing work

After losing their jobs during the Corona period, both of them opened a fake drug manufacturing company.

Sachin and Vikas, who run a fake drug factory, were already associated with the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. They both knew each other. Sachin was a supervisor at the pharmaceutical company Stepford Laboratory Limited Bhagwanpur, while Vikas used to work in Jagsan Pal Pharmaceuticals Company in Haridwar. While working, both of them had gathered a lot of information about the drug market. Meanwhile, he lost his job during the Corona period. After this, instead of doing a job, both of them planned to prepare fake medicines of Jagsan Pal and Worlater Busnal Company and sell them in the market.

Both opened several firms. All have been registered under GST. In December 2022, he opened a firm named SS Medicos in Raipur area of Dehradun. Both are partners in this. Through this firm, he used to supply medicines to cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata etc. Both of them used to share the benefits that were obtained from it equally.

The accused told that they had opened a factory in Makdumpur village to make medicines. There are machines there. The raw material was procured from a Mumbai-based Rolex Pharma company. They paid online. From there, raw materials used to come to Roorkee from Vijayalakshmi Transport, which is unloaded in Roorkee and taken to his factory. Delivery of raw materials is taken in a week. After that, both of them used to make fake medicines by filling the medicines of the pharmaceutical company and other companies in small quantities based on their composition.

The accused used to give wrappers for medicines to a person in Delhi and Bhagwanpur for printing. He used to print the wrapper at the rate of Rs 800 per kg. Sachin used to edit and prepare all the encrypted bills on his laptop.

Accused Sachin said that Vikas was already in touch with dealers due to being in marketing. He used to prepare 10 boxes of about 200 cans in a week.

The accused said that by selling medicines, they earned a profit of crores of rupees and many properties. Sachin has also taken a Range Rover car with the same money. Apart from this, Vikas has bought a plot of Rs 35 lakh in Roorkee and a car of Kia Sonet Company worth Rs 12 lakh. Apart from this, a house worth Rs 50 lakh in Usha Enclave and four bighas of land for a factory in Makdoonpur have also been taken. There was a plan to set up this factory.
